ReplyDeleteWhile counselling in general relates to mental health, its primary meaning is to listen and give advice (Cambridge University Press & Assessment, 2023). Some organisations like mine considers supervisors as counsellors and subordinates as counselees to highlight this relationship where supervisors play a role in guiding their subordinates through any aspect of their life that they need help with. Therefore, I think it is important to look at the process of counselling broadly in the Human Resource Management (HRM) context to make the maximum use of the process.
